The company is family run and established in 1995. The two Company Directors are Sue and Steve Gravells and they operate in two distinctly different sectors: Sue in the Corporate Sector, providing Mental Toughness and Leadership Training Services; and Steve in the Outdoor Leisure industry, providing Technical Recreational Coaching.
Whilst as a Senior Lecturer at Grimsby College of Further and Higher Education Steve set up a specialist Outdoor Education Centre, delivering RYA, BCU, Mountain Walking, Climbing courses with GCSE, A Level, B.Tec, HND and Degree courses with Outdoor Education.
Steve was seconded to Plas Menai National Watersports Centre and on his return he trained and assessed Teachers and Youth Leaders for the HCC County Outdoor Education Department and compiled the Educational Visit Guidelines for HCC Schools Colleges and the Youth Service.
Steve moved to the SCC Southampton Water Activities Centre SWAC as Operations Manager, developing First Aid courses, Dinghy Sailing and Instructor, Senior/Advanced Instructor courses, Kayaking Instructor/Coach courses, Sea Survival, VHF, Windsurfing and Powerboat Instructor/Advanced Instructor courses, Day Skipper/Yachtmaster, Mountain Walking and Climbing, being actively involved in all the provision at the Centre for 12 years, leaving in 2008 to work as a Freelance Coach/ Trainer & Assessor/Adult Education Consultant and Centre Inspector, then setting up Tec Rec Coaching in October 2011. Steve has numerous National qualifications. Steve was one of the first APIOL Assessors and served as a NHS Community First Responder based in Ashurst, The New Forest.
